Shalin's Cup 2012

The boys joined the Shalin's cup this year...all the 3 of them. We had no plan for Adib to participate initially but he told us that he was interested. So we enrolled him along with teh older brothers...his comment was like this "jangan risau Adib tak akan dapat last position...sekurang kurangnya Adib duduk kat 2nd last". The abah told him if anything happened just buat muka selamba and he replied " Ya, Adib buat selamba aje".

We managed to practiced at the alley , the day before the tournament..

And the day came, Angah and Adib played for Under 12 Boys in the afternoon.  Angah has entered quite a few tournaments so this was like another game for him....but suprisingly, Adib was rather calm also--he is always the Mr Cool actually. He was alright until the first 3-4 throws when every throws ended in the "longkang".. Along and myself were watching him ...and I was so worried, tuhan aje yg tahu... not knowing what to tell.... Abah at that time was supervising Angah who was 2 -3 lanes away than Adib's...we called for Abah and abah told him to change something and he did...and he was ok after that and in one of the 6 games he played, he scored 151 which is a record on its own for him.

People actually tot Adib is like 11 or 12years old and it did suprise them knowing that he is only 8 going to be 9 next year. He actually got the right skill and a few coaches have commented that...so we have high hope on our Mr Cool!
For a first timer we think he has played so well..tak banyak drama macam Along...ha..ha..ha.. and he placed himself not at 2nd last position but 41 or 51 out of the 70-80 participants...oklah..
After the game , I asked what did he feel having the first 4 throws inside the longkang, he said "malulah mummy"...but it didnt really show...nampak lah pipi merah sikit he..he..he..

Then Angah....this boy.. he was so near to be selected to the 2nd block but "pancit" at 5th and 6th games..so that drop him to 14th or 15th place and selection is up to 12th position...adoiiii....so near yet to far away kan? Tak de rezeki lah!

Along ...he still has some problems with his walking-approaching the lane- and his push...but he improved a lot during this tournament. and I am quite happy with him. We plan to concentrate more on bowling this year --really put our heart and soul into this games and give our full support to the boys...kalau tak menang jugak next tournament memang nak kena piat telinga sorang sorang ha..ha..ha..

Berkubang

This is the situation when the boys berkubang...they love to do this from time to time and most of the time I wont stop them playing in such a way...as a matter of fact I love seeing them playing around like this rather than stuck endlessly with the computer, phone games and psp....Kids enhance their creativity playing right? so I dont mind they making such a mess in their room but of course within their four walls only and within specified period...one night cukup lah...more than that I have migraine!
I just cant tolerate untidiness...messy room, unmade beds, etc...it is in my blood...inherits from my atok, down to my mom and me....But i think I am not as particular as my mom lah..ha..ha..satu tahap rendah kot!

I talked before about "berkhemah" and this is how they made it..
Then later at nite they would sleep inside the tent, and if I realised it when they already asleep, I would take off the comforter and wrap it around their body...I am just afraid it would fall on them at nite and they would get suffocated...bahaya kan?

On another day, they would bring down the mattresses and make another platform extended from the beds...PAs tu lompat lompat ...so much about being creative kan ...ha..ha..

As for Aariz...his interest now is on the computer...the older boys cant play in peace these days...He would press this and that...pull the mouse....and worse for the older boys, the fact that they cant scold him...because he is still a baby..

Adib will get very frustrated...and just gave up...and cried...
I wonder what happened behind my back ....whether he can be just as patient with his little brother...so far no complaint from bibik...except Adib likes to scream at Aariz...nothing physical!

And this little angel...not undersatnding anything...would just smiling away...and my heart melts...

should have just let them stick with the barber....4 times cheaper maaaa...

Chicken pox and "Sunat"

Last 2 weeks was a school holidays and unfortunately Adib was down with chicken pox..thank god, his, was a mild one...I am not really sure actually, if he really had a mild type or his antibody is just so strong that it able to fight the virus. But that is Adib, i dont remember him being conducive to sickness....irregardless if he had a fever, or having a bee stung his eyes or even when he had a fractured arm...he can just run around non stop except for sleeping.

He had the chicken pox close to 2 weeks, and throughout the period , he asked me daily whether he can kiss Aariz or hold him. You guys should know that Adib has been a very good big brother to Aariz, he can help to keep his eyes on him whenever we asked him to.Of course, having the virus inside the house, we were worried about Aariz so much. However, a doctor friend told me that if I have had a chicken pox, Aariz wont get the virus because being less than 6 months, my antibody still circulates inside him...hah..new information right? to me at least!

*********practising his acting skill*********

That's Adib...as for Angah , he was circumcised during the holidays.

**********the Before face***********

This "sunat" has been postponed from last Dec to the first term holiday, and this round , we (mummy and abah) just could not come up with any other excuses...so as promised we have him circumcised. He didnt even want to wait for a proper kenduri ( which has to wait for the renovation to finish). Why? because he doesnt want to be the last boy to bersunat in his class.

The traditional method was chosen ,and we granted his wish. He had seen Along with his clamp and due to that he opted for his choice. A doctor told me that the traditional way is more accordance to the islamic requirement- how true is his statement, I cant tell as I did not look up for other opinions. Recovery period is 2 weeks compared to Along's which was one whole month...

And these are how the 2 weeks holidays passed by.......

Aariz goes bald!

Abah has been itching to have Aariz bald since his days in the hospital, when one of the nurses told us that they do shave the babies upon request or when it's required for some medical purposes. But I was not into it because of Aariz's size and somehow I would prefer to do it on our own than to ask others.

And we waited until last 2 weeks, after our first visit to the hospital. It's our normal practice on the boys, we always keep their hair at minimum length (not that licin though-it's no 2 on the barber shaver)---after all they are boys :)--- until the year they entered primary school.

I am not sure whether it is sunat or what , but I think it is advisable to shave off the initial hair. Dont worry, new hair will bloom in no time! See how much dirt underneath?, perhaps it is because we have not shampooed him since birth but we did use water to clean his head. That day was the first time we shampooed him.
The end result...very licin!

Talking about hair, i really have problem with our teenaged brother's "peacock" hairstyle-- i call it peacock because the back hair is combed upward like the peacock feathers and the front is combed flat to one side. I've made a lot of noise about Along's recent hairstyle but he just ignores me and dare to ask me to iron his hair or have it straighten..............???? I cant wait for his next visit to the barber and know what, he told us he wants to go to hair salon not the barber...we had the boys tried hair salon once and now they are requesting for more....that is unbelievable!! Memang nak kena piat telinga!---Along read this and he laughed...mmg nak kena piat sungguh!

Paradise

The boys...when they are tired with computer games....and the nerf guns..and their "anak patung @ action figures".....especially during long holidays.......they will start playing indoor camping and the most recent invention is "paradise".

It is normal practice whenever abah is away, they will join me sleeping in my room --one with me on my bed ( they usually take turn but most of the time-the older brothers let Adib had his way) and the other two on the toto. However, i think it was last month, i heard Angah asked Adib to sleeep with him as he wanted to make a "paradise". What he did was arrangging toto as the first layer, then 2 baby's cot matresses on top, next were those big pillows and finally, covered them with comforter....if you guys remember "princess and pea"~~~it was the smaller version of the bed that the princess has to lie on.

Then recently--early this week, they asked me to join them sleeping in their room instead...i was reluctant at first as their beds are super single--where can i fit in that tiny miny room kan? They were selling me their "paradise" concept again and spare Adib's bed for me....not to let them down, i just played along and spent two nites in their so called "paradise"....

I posted them this question , "why paradise"....
Angah : paradise tu tidur sempit sempit.....(i.e. paradise=sleeping close to each other)

They pushed the beds closed to each other leaving a space at a corner to allocate the cot mattresses.........somehow, they love doing this so much...there were days when they chose to squeeze with each other sleeping in a small space, they actually confined the area to make it small like a sardine tin!

What an imagination......all the while I thought "paradise" supposed to be spacious , having your own unimaginable space....but the boys have shown me an even better concept of "paradise" ~~~staying close to your loved ones!!!

Berendam

This is another favourite pastime for the boys....bathing in the bathtub...

Mummy's bathroom is actually the only part of the house that we renovated to get the tiles changed and have the tub installed. There were many critics as people are seeing it as just a "toilet" but we see it as a "rest"room literally---After a long day, sink yourself inside the bubbled tub and you can really unwind....

As for the boys, as mentioned earlier , a favourite pastime---they do this more often that us, the parents.

From time to time, I take this opportunity to have their body scrubbed all over ...especially to Along. Macam berkerak ajer all the time :)
Jangan mareeeeeeeee.....
Si baggong ni kalau dah masuk tak de umat dah boleh join

Weekend activities

There are a few activities the boys do during weekend and two of them are as follows:
1) Drawing - this come and go...the moment the drawing block is all used up, it will stop for a while until the next replenishment...

2) Chatting - the boys are far more advance than us-the grown up...they chat thru YM...and yesterday Adib had a go with Along's friends....and I should have a proper posting to annouce that Adib can read and spell now both malay and english...so proud of him.
While chatting he also wrote some text and once a while he will ask for Along to help out spelling some words and the friend at the other end was screaming " tak tahu eja jangan chat lah"..and he replied " ohh jahat ehhh"

He also do FB chatting...usually using Along's id, choose a friend that he knows and wrote nonsense to him or her..his main favourite is of course , Shafiq!

Adib's new bicycle

Adib has been very restless for the last one month crying, shouting, laughing and screaming for a new bike. There was this one weekend (when abah was oustationed), he actually cried in the car, scolding mummy not to wait for abah and just chose one bike for him ...with tears running down his face. I handed over my handphone and asked him to talk to Abah, he did but before that he wiped his tears, cleared his throat and actually talked to Abah in a tears-free-voice, asking if he can get Mummy to buy him a new bike and he just ok-ed when abah told him to wait until Abah came back for us to buy it together...

This is one of the incidences whereby the boys can get very complicated with mummy but can easily agreeing with Abah.

The old bike is a hand-me-down from Along to Angah and last but not least down to Adib. The wear and tear is not that bad actually--- besides I did cahnge the tyres last year or maybe the year before:)but perhaps it is just unberable to Adib and the fact that Along and Angah was busy spraying theirs with new colours and changing accessories may to certain extend get into him!

After postposing endlessly finally, last weekend, we bought Adib his first newly own bike.

I think I wrote before about Adib who is by nature very cautious over things like swimming, playing etc. and he is now complaining that the new bike is too big --as he has already had some scratches on his leg from falling off the bike yesterday --and commented that we should get him a smaller one.....sabar je lah!

Fishing at KOMAT Indera Mahkota

Another new activity ..... the first ever (in Indera Mahkota) Kolam ikan air tawar was opened early this month .. so last sturday sometime in the aftrnoon, I sent the boys-Along and Angah with some of their friends to try their skill fishing.

The entry fee+ fishing rod rental is RM12.00 per hour and the fish food like "dedak" and "cengkering" is each RM1-2per pack.

It turned out not bad at all... the boys got themselves 2 kelis each
