My Aariz walks

I just have to stop here and make this posting. Aariz has walked again ...hoorahhh...alhamdulillah...yes on his very own without support. It was yesterday, hari hol in Kuantan...and we brought Aariz with us for the morning jog with Gading Bowling team. That was actually our 2nd time taking Aariz to Taman Bandar and letting him play at the playground. Basically he would hold on the equipments and walk around moving from one equipment to another.

 Then yesterday, I left him with Abah as I need to attend a conf call via my mobile (in the car). He was initially  moving  around holding on to Abah's finger like what he was doing with me...then abah tried to let him loose i.e. pulled his finger away and suddenly Aariz just walked. We have been waiting for that moment for far too long and we all feel so blessed and happy.

It was kind of hilarrious because he actually walking with his hand on his head or face.

You see this little boy of mine is for some reason is very diligent in his actions and movements. As an example if he wants to get down from a bed, he would look down...turn his back...push his leg, scream as loud as possible and slowly pull himself down...this is actually from as early as he learns how to crawl...it was abah who taught him "kaki dulu kaki dulu" and he always make sure he look first and then the foot.

Then when he learned to move down and up the stairs...he slowly tried a few steps considering the gap between the steps and when he was confident after 2-3 attempts...then only he completed his mission. We always think he is a "gayat" (scared of heights) type thus that delay his attempt to walk (there is a chance to fall down) other than some minor stiffness of the legs.

When he walked yesterday, he was so conscious and scared ...his face looked worry and he had his hands on the head... looking all concern if he would fall down anytime.It was funny. He also screamed....ha..ha..ha..

Oh I am one happy mother..we all are....it was a huge huge relief.
Now we just concentrate on the speech therapy....and hopefully this round, he will continue walking without any reservation anymore...thus,  officially Aariz walks at 2 years and 5 months....phewwwww....

Theraphy check on Aariz

Hi there...for some reason Aariz just stopped walking after the week that he walked few steps on his own i.e. the week which i refered to in the posting before this one. For a few days in that week, he actually really walked a few steps then dropped then raised his butt again and walked another few steps.But that week was the only time he did that and after that week...he just refused to walk on his own...he still walk around but he needs support. He would either walk while holding onto something like a furniture, or he will push around the baby-gym toy.

This is the situation until this very moment.
Last week we decided to bring Aariz for pysiotheraphy check and the paed also advised us to do the hearing test because for a 2 year old toddler, Aariz to certain extent is indicating some delay in speech....he is still very much at abai...abab..mamam. We first went to the pyhsiotheraphy center in Kuantan Specialist Hospital

 and unfortunately they do not have a paed physiotherapist thus suggesting us to go to the International Islamic Uni physio which fortunately is just around the corner from our residence...how convenient!

Aariz actually is ok with outsiders, he wont cry if a stranger try to hold him. However, for some reason he just can sense if the stranger is a doctor or some therapist who intended to jab him or do some massaging on him.The moment the therapist tried to lie him down...he just cried his heart out...really crying and shouting which is not his normal behaviour.

The theraphist said that the tendon on his right leg is stiff and we need to do regular massaging to soften it. That is why his walk is a bit odd, as he tends to drag the bad right leg. The therapist also informed that it actually hurts him when we massage the bad leg but we still need to continue doing it to help him walking again.

On the hearing we are subjected to a second test for the specialist to provide a more constructive opinion and advice if certain treatment is necessary. For now, after the first test, it looks like Aariz may have some problem with high frequncy sounds Means he is not able to hear the high frequency sounds like the sound of ph, shh and some other consonants. I know.. it is a suprise to me also..i thought for hearing , there are only 2 options...can hear or cant hear --but suprisingly it is not like that..there is possibility that we can hear certain sounds and not hearing some other sounds. This discrepancy subsequently will lead to some delay in speech.

Our speech appointment will be in 2 weeks time and we are due for another pysiotheraphy session on the same day

I really d not know what to expect but as long as it is something that we as parents can assist and there is solution to it, i am relieved....so insyallah we are taking a step at a time!

Walking around

Hooray to my dearest Aariz...now he can really move around. The doctor has it right all along that he could have some problem walking  but it wouldnt be a major one...technology huh...amazing !Alhamdulillah, I think I can say that he is now walking at about 2 years and 1 month...but he is still a bit malas to raise his butt and walk around...we got to urge him..let him stands, cheers him up then only he will happily walking...

2 days ago he only walked if there is someone waiting right in front of him but yesterday he just moved around everywhere....see how happy Mr sepet was-- So glad with this new accomplishment and definitely a great start for 2013 for all of us.!

Shalin's Cup 2012

The boys joined the Shalin's cup this year...all the 3 of them. We had no plan for Adib to participate initially but he told us that he was interested. So we enrolled him along with teh older brothers...his comment was like this "jangan risau Adib tak akan dapat last position...sekurang kurangnya Adib duduk kat 2nd last". The abah told him if anything happened just buat muka selamba and he replied " Ya, Adib buat selamba aje".

We managed to practiced at the alley , the day before the tournament..

And the day came, Angah and Adib played for Under 12 Boys in the afternoon.  Angah has entered quite a few tournaments so this was like another game for him....but suprisingly, Adib was rather calm also--he is always the Mr Cool actually. He was alright until the first 3-4 throws when every throws ended in the "longkang".. Along and myself were watching him ...and I was so worried,tuhan aje yg tahu... not knowing what to tell.... Abah at that time was supervising Angah who was 2 -3 lanes away than Adib's...we called for Abah and abah told him to change something and he did...and he was ok after that and in one of the 6 games he played, he scored 151 which is a record on its own for him.

People actually tot Adib is like 11 or 12years old and it did suprise them knowing that he is only 8 going to be 9 next year. He actually got the right skill and a few coaches have commented that...so we have high hope on our Mr Cool!

For a first timer we think he has played so well..tak banyak drama macam Along...ha..ha..ha.. and he placed himself not at 2nd last position but 41 or 51 out of the 70-80 participants...oklah..

After the game , I asked what did he feel having the first 4 throws inside the longkang, he said "malulah mummy"...but it didnt really show...nampak lah pipi merah sikit he..he..he..

Then Angah....this boy.. he was so near to be selected to the 2nd block but "pancit" at 5th and 6th games..so that drop him to 14th or 15th place and selection is up to 12th position...adoiiii....so near yet to far away kan? Tak de rezeki lah!

Along ...he still has some problems with his walking-approaching the lane- and his push...but he improved a lot during this tournament. and I am quite happy with him. We plan to concentrate more on bowling this year --really put our heart and soul into this games and give our full support to the boys...kalau tak menang jugak next tournament memang nak kena piat telinga sorang sorang ha..ha..ha..

Aariz is now walking!

Aariz are now making more steps on his own. Last night..he kept push himself up and walked around...the problem is that he is a bit rush in the steps..I think that is quite normal for toddlers who just got the skill. Cant recall well the experience we had with the boys...but I do remember when Along first walked at 1year 3 months...he walked around the house the whole night non stop until he was so tried and felt asleep. Aariz walks like a ketam sometimeslah..he tend to move side ways than straight to the front...
Not sure was it us --which due to information from the doctors that Aariz may have some problem with his movement motor...  but we just cant help it to noticing that he does have some acute problem with his left leg...at times it does look like he is dragging the leg tapi another time it looks alright...

Each of us is extremely overjoyed with this new development...just a matter of time, but soon enough he will run and kick the abangs :)
See how happily he was last nite ...he walked and screamed at the same times, then turned and walked again.

All about Adib

I want to share about Adib here today...Adib is actually the only soul after me who able to find pleasure in reading. Frankly, for myself...one of my worries is when I stop reading for quite sometime...majalah pun jadi lah. I always encourage the boys to read tapi payah nya lah...as i said the only person yg show some interest is Adib...eventhough his reading tu mmg agak pening kepala to approve but as he is only a baby --always our baby besar , ok aje lah ..

His favourite of alltime is Lawak Kampus...i dont get the jokes with that book. I had an attempt or two but still cant get the jokes...I think the jokes is kind of gross...as they like to use pimples lah ..kahak lah...erghhh dasat betul...

Then he also loves Apo?..others magazines like Asuh..is something that i forced on him .

Books that he would buy from the school's book store is something like the below...i think he has a series of the buku silap mata...the book does come with some magic gadjets ..erggg

I just talked to Along asking him what he reads today...and he answered me "Muka Buku!"...adoiiiii

However most of the time , especially during holidays like now..he fills his time with PSP..that is his partner in crime, Arip ..our neighbour. We have been missing Arip for the whole cuti sekolah as he went "balik kampung"..lama betul.

Have I shared that he is selected to be a prefect for both KAFA and SKIM for next year's school session. He is over the moon with for being elected and I am so proud of him as well. Remember early this year I shared about the shortest tenure as ketua kelas....and thus I hope he could retain the title at least for one year..heee...risau jugak.

Last night he told me that he wants to go for night tuition..I told him there is no need for him to go to tuition at standard 3 (--I only sent tuitions for both the elder brothers at standard 6). He scolded me saying i want him to be smart but doesnt want to send him for tuition..."macamana nak pandai??" adoiii...I am not sure whether his intuition is because both elder brothers will be going for nite tuitions next year or it was out of his own interests.

Adib is also an early riser...he wakes up at about 6am everyday ...and will sit at the reclining chair watching all the early morning cartoons...Aariz has shared Adib's interest in Upin and Ipin, Boboiboy and also some cartoons in Nickoledeon...so now they can watch together. Know how he manages to wake up on time most morning? He actually instructed Bibik to pass him his "morning susu" at 6am sharp...and for nite time it has to be at 9pm ..if bibik is late than the stipulated time he wont takes the susu at all and will scold bibik for one whole day..Bibik is like serba salah, because it is school holidays and 6am is way too early , but she chose not to be "bebel" by this Tuan Muda....sangat songel and sangat manja with bibik...

Today I am trying to enrol him to Shalin's Cup tournament mid this month. We have registered Along and Angah and tought we will only enrol Adib for any tournament mid next year. But he told us yesterday that he wanted to join..."kalau Adib kalah no last pun , Adib buat muka selamba aje" ..with that enthusiasm , got no choice lah but to enrol him ...but until this very moment , I am not getting a response yet from the organiser. I am looking forward for him participating in that event mesti kartun punya!

Adib's birthday Party

It was so unplanned...I thought we want to skipped this year or arranged one after PMR. Adib's and Along's birthday is just one day different, so I thought it just right to do the makan2 and what not after PMR. However, Adib told me " mummy tu lambat sangat tak best lah"..so we had the party organised that weekend after me explained to him that we cant do wednesday, thursday, friday or saturday--told him we need to buys goodies for the party on saturday-i.e.a non working day and he happily agreed.

Then, after agreeing on the day -- I asked him to handle the invitations part--after all it is his birthday and told him to invite whoever he wanted and only tell me the number of friends coming. He came back and told me there will be about 30 friends coming. Frankly we didnt think that many would come but I still prepared the goodies packs accordingly. 30 oklah...I didnt even booked the cake, was assuming that Secret Recipe wont be out of Chocolate Indulgence--Adib's favourite--but unfortunately, they were all sold out ..adoiiii kesian Adib, he then chose New York Cheese kalau tak silap.

And sunday came...at noon, we had lunch with Tok, Aki and all. Then about 2pm, the friends started to arrive...one after another and finally there were like 20+ kids under the roof. Sporting enough to wear the mask!

We had cake, sandwiches, nuggets &  drummets--free flow, pudding and honeydew sweet...nobody wanted to try the mee rebus...salah menu lah :) But I think nobody went home hungry...

It is great fun being a host to the kids. They ate and played and made all sort of noises...really great fun!
The truth is we've have never thought that many would turn up as only handful stayed in the same street. We will make better arrangement next year definitely.

 Bising nya jangan cite lah....like ribut taufan really!

And the end of the day, I asked Adib if the party was ok..." Adib happy tak?"...and he replied "Happy Mummy"...he only got like 2 to 3 birthday presents from the friends, but that didnt bother him..having his friends celebrating his birthday was all that he wanted...
Last but not least...."Happy Birthday Mr Froggy and Along...semoga jadi anak yg baik dan soleh and Mummy loves you both so dearly...with all my heart and more"...
By the way, Adib called me today at lunchtime..telling that he was selected to be the KAFA prefect for next year session....His annoucement was like this "mummy...cikgu tadi tanya Adib awak ada buat salah ya? Adib terus ngaku Adib ada masuk kelas masa rehat - pastu cikgu cakap, sebab guru besar nak cakap tahniah, awak dah terpilih sebagai KETUA PENGAWAS TAHUN DEPAN ehh...salah pengawas bukan ketua pengawas" He actually shouted at that capital letters...ha..ha...I accepted the news with "YEAHHHHHH"...the truth is Bibik has called me earlier to break the news...even Bibik was overly excited ha..ha..ha...so i mocked the terkejut part ...heeee...Congratulations Adib!

PMR is OVER...yes OVERRRRR

Oh yes PMR is over...oh yeahhhhh...now mummy can breathe ...in and out in and out...if not hah tersekat...only in cannot out looking at our dearest Along..

Having said that I do admit that Along has done his part studying eventhough it was only really accelerated like secodn half of the year..Form 2 result was trash..teruk-- failed his Agama..so for a soft start we sent Along and also Angah for tuitions starting end of 2011. Then came 2013, the examination results improves from one to another but still until the trial then the pra PMR, there were still some Cs for Agama and Sejarah....Adoiiilah....

..........he is very cheeky..Aariz adores him!

I cant recall but it was like 3 or 4 weeks before the exam, we were called to the school-- to be notified about his bad result in Sejarah..he got C but under the school's scale his was considered D--now tell me if you can swallow that and not being mega worry?? Macam nak pecah kepala.....adoiii...

Abah went to the school for that and told me how some parents actually blaming the teachers for their children bad results..Macam2 kan..?? if 100 over students do achieve As or Bs and ours are like among the minority..should we blame ourselves, the kids or the teachers? Some people kan.??..for me I know all along tapi it would be better if the teacher called us much earlier like 2 months before ke so taht we got that knock on our head! But still as I said we know all along tapi relax jugak. Coming back from that meeting, we sent Afi for one to one tutorial on Sejarah -3 weeks straight until the exam unfortunately the tuition center does not have agama,  so redha aje lah! During my time ..which was SRP...agama is like free As--

Then the moment of truth, PMR started on Oct9th..even with Angah who actually studied and I believe well prepared for UPSR I still have that usual "mummy's exam breakdown" -- u can imagine how I felt with Afi. Even abah cant deny the anxiety. Afi was rather jolly the day before the exam,  but he did look "pucat" on that very first day.

....waiting for the van that tuesday morning....

I told him, just "bismillah" and do your best...I was worried looking at him that morning. And to add further to the whole getaran jiwa, the exam started with Agama and Bahasa...adoiii.....

Few days before the exam, he told me that he has given all our 3 cars plate numbers to the school guard to ensure that they are barred from the school ground ---means he doesnt want me to visit or wait for him at his exam hall's door during the exam..ha..ha..I thought I have to give equal treatment--Angah suka aje..was complaining actually I didnt go on his 2nd day..Ni orang bujang kan--like Angah always remind me, jangan jatuhkan reputasi ha..ha..

He cant raise his eye lids further than that...he...

The exam ended yesterday...the hardest according to him is Agama--he actually checked with Mukhriz (Tok Ibu's son) how his agama and Mukhriz commented Agama mmg susah..Mukhriz used to be in sekolah agama--so Afi felt better with Mukhriz's comment but I think Mukhriz's susah could be an B or a lower A...adoii lah !
Come second is Sejarah.."oklah tapi susah sikit"..that was his comment--he told me he actually memorised all about UMNO and there was only one related question for that topic...ha..ha..ha...in the spirit of janji ditepati agak nya....ha..ha..adoiii lagi!

He lost his mobile on that very same day and have the nerve to ask for Iphone...as if dah dapat 8As..sabar aje lah..pulak nak reconcile with girl friend kan hp tak de...nasib lah..--he told bibik he will reconcile again with his GF after exam because he wanted to channel his energy and mind to the exam...ye sangat lah tu..walhal dok tot tet tot tet...

So that is all about PMR...hope for the best...he has done the usaha part eventhough not as thorough I wished he did and now kita Tawakal aje...

We recited yasin one of the nites before exam...adib sampai tertidur punya doa :)

Muka wajib for my posting...Ahmad Aariz lah sapa lagi ....their eyes are about the same right? sepet..kuyu.......!!

Angah and UPSR

Oh i left this blog way too long...many things happened between now and then..I am forcing myself (despite my tight schedule but hei today is friday) to make this posting...i must write about UPSR before it slips out of my memory...Yes UPSR is over early this month......I tot I will face 2012 UPSR easily ..no goosebumps... no stomach ache etc..for Angah has been very consistent in his results and study. I was in turmoil when Along sat for the exam as not even once through out his 6th year that he got 5As other than the UPSR itself. The best I remembered would be 4As and he can never go better than B for BM.

Angah on the other hand, very consistent ...he even arranged a group study especially towards the final 3 months before the exam..Of course they studied like 1 hour and played the Nerf for another hour but at least we can see the detemination. So me and Abah was very relax until the day he brought home his trial exam result...oh gosh he got B for his Pemahaman...He said he was all shacky doing the exam...oh gosh...that is not good at all when UPSR was like a month away. And my headache ..stomach ache and all came back into my body..I was extremely worried...worry that he cant take up the stress and panicking in the exam hall...but deep down I know Angah is not like that...but I was still worry!

Along being as cool as he is...commented one nite during dinner..." ko relax aje jangan stress stress, cool aje--ko pun dah belajar"...adoi lah Abang Long! But I agree after all Angah has done his part i.e to study!

Being anxious as he is...Angah prepared 2 sets of stationeries for the exam and each set has like 6 pencils, 2 erasers and a ruler....and he wanted all new...punya lah kan...and know what Along said when I asked him if he needs to buy anything for his PMR.." boleh pakai Angah punya, pen pun banyak lagi" ...ha..ha..ha..ha..adoi...turmoil ke tak tu?????

And so happened UPSR started with Pemahaman...Angah was all worried adoiii....I told him to relax and said it is ok, if tak de rezeki for him to get A...because I know how much he has prepared himself...But inside me tuhan aje yg tahu..Thru out the3 days of  UPSR , me and Abah , we joined him for breakfast and kissed him good luck..

On that first day,  i decided to wait and met him after the first paper finished. So about 9am i went to the school....the teachers were all at the canteen waited and tehy had no access to the paper so not able to comment if the paper is ok or not...adoiii...

 

Then time's up for PEmahaman...some group has came out from the classes...the teachers took the paper from the students and start running throught the questions...so being as busy body as i am..I asked the them "susah tak??"..and the teacher replied " emm...susah ni  tricky soalan nya" ..

Ya Allah...at that instance, air mata dah mengenang dah...tragis kan????? I was so tragis lah...and Angah was still in the exam hall...in fcat his group was the last to come out...from afar i saw him , i was like a second away to cry but he was smiling away...he came to me , i asked him how was it..he said ok...Allah ..I was like phewwwwwwwwww.....the teacher checked his paper and he had 3 mistakes...insyallah an A!

Second day i went again to the school after the first paper ended and the gate was locked ha..ha..ha..I got the message cikguS!!!!!!!!!

Alhandulillah the UPSR is over...so tawakal aje..ada rezeki ada lah...kalau tak de yg terbaik jugak dari Nya!

Angah is on Fb now ..he been telling me that right after UPSR ..he will be everywhere ..in FB, Twitter, Instagram..you name it...nak build up reputation again and get new girlfriends...adoiiii....

PMR is one week away...wahahahhahahahhaha...
