Aariz at 1 year 6 months

Aloha...I miss this space so much but unable to slot a moment in my 24 hours for this passion of mine.
My update on my precious Aariz..he is now 1 year 6 mths in less than 48 hours. Time flies for sure.

 Still not walking but has been very active since he started crawling...he owns the space and able to explore on his own accord. Love his walker as well but he will shout to get people to release him if that tires him.
He can raise himself up and stand on his own but of course still need holding on something for support.Huge improvement -- from those days that he only sat on his rocker watching his favourite baby tv--but baby tv is still aired like 90% of the house air time during Aariz's awake hours----

 Some says that premature can very fussy and kind of hyper to an extent...but so far we are not seeing that in Aariz...he is in fact a very "calm" baby -traveller -- he can just relax in his car seat or even the stroller. Only making noises when he is hungry or if we stop pushing the stroller to long...dia kena like jalan aje non stop, but that is alright than if he doesnt want to sit in the stroller at all...
But I have never had any problem sitting my boys in the stroller...the tips is dont take out the baby too fast if they cry asking people to hold them up. Kena tahan hati.

Talking ...at times we thought we heard him saying words like his own name..or even ba..or bik....but most of the time he still very much with ahhh...ahhh...ishhhh...ishhh.

One of his favourite activities of the day is bathing...given that he had his first bath after like 3 mths old...we were quite worried if bathing could be difficult but it has never been. Deepending on the weather, we still use warm water for his bathing especially in the morning.

Getting smarter each day definitely...he knows when people dress up to go out....he knows to cling on mummy or abah, when seeing we are getting ready...for work or just out..will shoo away bibik with his hands..like suruh tepi tepi...

Last but not least...among other things...we patiently wait to the day that he walks on his own....amin!

Birthday Amani

We were in pekan last sunday for makan makan in regards to Amani's birthday. Amani is that girl in red..I think she is 3 years for this birthday. Such an adorable girl yg sangat tembam and couldn't be bothered with what birthday celebration is all about. Tak nak tiup lilin pun!

This girl is always very accomodating with her older brother Aqil and Ketik Na (that china doll girl beside Adib). By the way, Ketik Na or Nana --i just love calling her Ketik Na coz she was the first premature baby in the family...was so small back then and dark so called her Ketik. She was born like a botol kicap size but still actually slightly bigger and heavier than my petite baby Aariz...what a miracle they both are!

Abang long reluctantly joined the kids....ngada kunun dah besar..

Angah with Ain...she is 10mths now and already crawling like nobody business....
Elisha the one in orange polo...will be having her adik by November this year....the only addition to the family this year at year end...Congratulatiosn Ayah Da and Mok Da!

Aariz is bald again

Yes, he is bald again...as I mentioned before this is routine for my boys until they reached primary school. However I just wanted to share that the shaving last saturday  was NOT as easy as it used to be. Aariz cried the moment the electric shaver was placed on his head...not his usual baby cries but a loud one. We did in the morning before he took his morning bath, and it was like 3 strokes of shaving and we decided to stop. I actually snapped some pictures but had deleted them by mistake....geram betul!
Anybody knows how to retrieve deleted items from BB folders? For some reasons they didnt go to the computer recycle bin eventhough I actually deleted them using the USB.

Anyway, by noon before we went out for lunch, and while Aariz was so absorbed with his baby tv , we had another go..using the scissors...he was a bit calm but still refusing...we managed to clear quite a bit with patches of hair here and there. Buruk sangat!

Then later that afternoon, at the mall after lunch, we brought him to the salon. Abah told me that the salon have a small shaver and I tot why not give it a try.Thank god, he only cried a little and the hairdresser was fast....so here we go, my botak licin baby!

In Islam, it is advisable to shave your kids during their tender ages but of course, it is not an easy exercise. Dont force it on the children, got to have patience and berhati hati.

My Aariz is now crawling

Hei...apa khabar semua? Ahmad Aariz is now crawling...after a long long wait...all his cousins who are about the same age with him out beat him...Afroza of course she is 2 mths earlier, then Aina who was 2 weeks later, then Ain and Nash who are much later...Finally last month my dearest little petitte sunshine started crawling at the age of 1 year 3 months....by the way today, he is 1 year 4 months. Now he crawls everywhere...this new skill reduces his attention to the baby tv..which I think is good!

He is even more expressive ...he cries when seeing me or abah getting ready to work..Bibik said he makes certain noise to notify certain things, bibik spends more time with him and definitely knows better. Thanks Allah for bibik :) for all the bibiks. Bibik also mentioned that he follows his schedule strictly...masa jalan, makan , mandi and so on...masa jalan and padang tu could be to bibik's favour jugak tettttt...

He eats everything..and we have stopped buying the baby food for him except for the baby biscuits. We try to have variations in his daily meals..like bread and soup for breakfast, rice or noodles for lunch and so on..

Apart from all the new developments,  I think he still remains quiet for a baby...he hardly cries....and have that very serious face for a baby. That is very distinctive about Aariz...his seriousness and his petiteness, that makes him so special..and kelakar jugak...He definitely brings a lot of joy and happiness and kasih sayang to all of us... be it me, abah or even the brothers.

 We are going to get him shaved/bald again this weekend...dah panjang rambut dia.

Headboy SKIM 2012

Finally angah was announced SKIM head prefect for 2012. It was indeed the longest wait ever not only for Angah but for both mummy and abah. The trial was like from end of last year then they were down to 3 shortlisted...interviews so more...trial on public speaking and so on.
Deep down I know the title would be his but of course we do not want to be over confidence after all
rezeki di tangan tuhan. All we did was giving his encouragement and support and of course kids need to know that they are still d same in our eyes with or without the title....I just do not want him to feel so bad
if tbe position is meant to be other's. Angah is someone with very strong competative spirit even the teachers acknowledge that....i think that is positive but at the same time we must understand and be
receptive to failure...that is something we need to instill and keep reminding him.
so congratulations angah....i told him with that position he got to uphold the responsibility well, be kind dan humble...juga pesan dia jangan nakal sangat, jangan buli orang....at times he can up to some kind of
nuisance jugak.....yesterday evening jugak back from work dah marah dia se-das....gaduh dgn along
terjerit terlolong kat luar rumah maghrib hari....kids being kids kan......

Shortest tenure as Class monitor

wow have left this blog idle for a long time. So many events n incidences have passed us from then till now.....i will try to catch up...sedaya yg boleh. Ah...i definitely need to share this story on Adib..

.remember i told about my dear Adib wishes to become the class monitor. one fine day last month, he happily waited for me to come back from work..and embraced me at the door..."mummy, cikgu lantik adib jadi ketua darjah"....he was like "yes...yes"....knowing how much he was eyeing for that position...i was proud n happy for him. He took up the responsibility without any hesitation ....wrote down names n scolded those who didnt sit at own places...from the very first minutes he was selected. He told us that he was d third class monitor, the first two was terminated from duty  due to some minor misconduct like being naughty or something.

Then abah told Adib to make sure he completed his home and class works to ensure he able to keep the position.

And true enough...masin mulut abah...about 3-4 days later.....adib with muka "kelat"..told us that he is no more the class monitor...the title is taken from him as he continues to not finishing his homeworks...pity him but that was his own mistake. Perhaps his is the shortest tenure...maybe , i dont know.

So last weekend, we worked together to clear all his outstanding homeworks. Need to like sit and talk to him and teach him to write nicely---adib handwriting is extremely awful--, use the ruler, erase properly etc etc. Parents need to do all these with their kiddo....cant just tell and leave them on their own. Kids these days are not like us...back then, during my days...i think I had that urge inside me that want to excel and learn, but kids these days ...we need to remind them again and again...i had my jerit jerit session last sunday dedicated to Along and Adib....after the jerit jerit, got to grap myself again and sit with them and monitor...phewwww....hard work for mummy, right? but I will do this a thousand years...just love being their mummy and having all the four of them as my dearest sons.

Aariz and punching toys

Aariz got a new toy today...i dont know what is called but the older brothers call it punching bag...i think punching toy would be more appropriate...Aariz's is that little penguin..it was bought not at toy r us but at the pasar tani...he..he...abang adib saw it and he always wants one but mummy always managed to find a right excuse not buying. Not sure if abah heard Adib's request but he suddenly said which to buy a frog or a penguin...then the baby penguin was bought....and abah said that is for aariz.
Bising lah abang dib....then we went to Giant and there, they also sell the punching toy ...a bigger one...and adib came to mummy with his "please mummy"...and who can say no to that innocent beg...entah innocent or he just understand mummy to well...emmm...and he got his elephant.
Aariz suka sangat...langgar those two toys with his walker....ketawa berdekah dekah entah apa yg funny nya...but it is great seeing him laughing out loud..
By the way...he used to have regular short naps during the day but they are reduced to one or two naps a day...abah said he's coming out from the premature zone ...from his reading, premature tend to have regular naps until they are becoming more normal...like full term babies.

tomorrow is maulidur rasul...the Prophet Muhammad's pbuh birthday...i pray to Allah, to help me instill the Prophet's values in my boys...there is no better idol that we should follow than our beloved Prophet..
