Boys' day out

Last sunday , Afi and his friends had a all-boys-outing.The outing was pre arranged by Afi - with me being identified as the driver just because we own an mpv - and the fact that he knows i will definitely not grant him the permission if he is to follow his friends' parents.

I was only being told ...on saturday. He gave me like 101 reasons why i must agree and allow him with this outing (to megamall).....e.g. this is his first time going out with his friends, only for couple of hours, they've jusy finished upsr, they have free pizza hut coupon given by the school or some teachers etc..etc...

After the piano class, he begged me again - telling me that his friends are waiting for his "ok" and finally i agreed with conditions:

1. i will follow them from behind -Afi actually opposed this arrangement but he has no choice -he asked me why i need to do that as they are not planning anything funny - i actually let them walked on their own first as bibik wanted to get a pair of shoes - the boys really jumped high and low upon arriving at the megamall...masyallah macam tak pernah berjalan....but cute!
2. they were allowed to 2 places either bowling or cinema and pizza hut- i found them in the videogames arcade instead...- before moved to bowling right after - i also joined for a few rounds taking over Afi's turns. All of them are not regular with bowling so there were oohhhs and aaahhhs, clapping , jumping and cheering for every single throws....

The outing lasts for 4 hours...but obviously they had a great time in their own way acknowledging their first experience of "independence" . Angah sebok sebok joined the group, the other boys are neighbours anyway!

I remember my first outing with some girl friends when i was also 12 years old. Back then we travelled by bus....i dont think any mother would entertain such a request during my time and they were not as anxious about safety or all sort of misery we have in today's world...

There were like 5-6 of us, of all the 6 i was the only being charged as a kid by the bus attendant whereas others got an adult ticket --- i was so embarassed as we were supposed to be teenagers...young adults...and being charged as a school kid was really an insult...he..he..he....but now i thank Allah for the "awet muda" gen in my blood! he..he...he...
The time is getting shorter to the day that i have to let Afi to fly on his own....sob...sob...sob...meremang bulu roma ...

ya la liz...good parenting tips ni.
sekali sekala let them enjoy with our guidance. kalau lepas sendirian berhad tu yang takut tu.

at least when Afi go to college you still have angah and adib to teman. Kalau kami ni...honeymoon balik berdua.
