PMR result is out

We were in KL the day before the result --cut short the trip and came back again to Kuantan to collect the result from the school. Along actually told us to just sms but I just felt it is not right to just sms such a thing as important as the pmr result..punya lah kan?

The result was scheduled to release at 10am and Along actually had sms earlier and a few minutes after 10am, there was an sms came into my phone and there was the result...he got 5As 3Bs. I think I wrote somewhere that we targeted for 6As and of course deep down I hope for straight As. My first reaction gettg the result I was like phewww...thank god there is no Cs..and 5As oklah. Then I went to the school hall and having listened to the school's result, I looked at Angah and told him, "Let us leave the hall"...

116 out of the 226 candidates got straight As ..it doesnt sound difficult at all if almost half can get that excellent result..and thus I have all this "what if" and "if only" theories in my mind. Abah told me with his preparation for the PMR and the results that he got from form 1 to form 3--Along's PMR result is actually a good one....true enough but still I have the "if only" he worked a little harder and if only I sent him tuition starting from form 1..perhaps the result could be better.

Anyway the good thing is , the result is a wake up call for him. It did hit him to an extent...and he told me that he wants to start tuition right away starting January. It's god will anyway, perhaps if he got a good result...he will remain complacent...relax like nobody business!

Adib actually commented this "Along punya result ni patut amik UPSR--bagus lah tu 5As"...how can you not laugh to that...ha..ha..ha. I think we were walking out of the school hall when he told me that..then he continued " Tapi mummy tak payah lah marah Along..sebab C dan D semua dah hilang--oklah tu kesian Along"....Ha..ha..ha..and we didnt scold Along just bebel sikit...I just think he should be more responsible and he has to change for his own good.

All about Adib

I want to share about Adib here today...Adib is actually the only soul after me who able to find pleasure in reading. Frankly, for myself...one of my worries is when I stop reading for quite sometime...majalah pun jadi lah. I always encourage the boys to read tapi payah nya lah...as i said the only person yg show some interest is Adib...eventhough his reading tu mmg agak pening kepala to approve but as he is only a baby --always our baby besar , ok aje lah ..

His favourite of alltime is Lawak Kampus...i dont get the jokes with that book. I had an attempt or two but still cant get the jokes...I think the jokes is kind of gross...as they like to use pimples lah ..kahak lah...erghhh dasat betul...

Then he also loves Apo?..others magazines like Asuh..is something that i forced on him .

Books that he would buy from the school's book store is something like the below...i think he has a series of the buku silap mata...the book does come with some magic gadjets ..erggg

I just talked to Along asking him what he reads today...and he answered me "Muka Buku!"...adoiiiii

However most of the time , especially during holidays like now..he fills his time with PSP..that is his partner in crime, Arip ..our neighbour. We have been missing Arip for the whole cuti sekolah as he went "balik kampung"..lama betul.

Have I shared that he is selected to be a prefect for both KAFA and SKIM for next year's school session. He is over the moon with for being elected and I am so proud of him as well. Remember early this year I shared about the shortest tenure as ketua kelas....and thus I hope he could retain the title at least for one year..heee...risau jugak.

Last night he told me that he wants to go for night tuition..I told him there is no need for him to go to tuition at standard 3 (--I only sent tuitions for both the elder brothers at standard 6). He scolded me saying i want him to be smart but doesnt want to send him for tuition..."macamana nak pandai??" adoiii...I am not sure whether his intuition is because both elder brothers will be going for nite tuitions next year or it was out of his own interests.

Adib is also an early riser...he wakes up at about 6am everyday ...and will sit at the reclining chair watching all the early morning cartoons...Aariz has shared Adib's interest in Upin and Ipin, Boboiboy and also some cartoons in Nickoledeon...so now they can watch together. Know how he manages to wake up on time most morning? He actually instructed Bibik to pass him his "morning susu" at 6am sharp...and for nite time it has to be at 9pm ..if bibik is late than the stipulated time he wont takes the susu at all and will scold bibik for one whole day..Bibik is like serba salah, because it is school holidays and 6am is way too early , but she chose not to be "bebel" by this Tuan Muda....sangat songel and sangat manja with bibik...

Today I am trying to enrol him to Shalin's Cup tournament mid this month. We have registered Along and Angah and tought we will only enrol Adib for any tournament mid next year. But he told us yesterday that he wanted to join..."kalau Adib kalah no last pun , Adib buat muka selamba aje" ..with that enthusiasm , got no choice lah but to enrol him ...but until this very moment , I am not getting a response yet from the organiser. I am looking forward for him participating in that event mesti kartun punya!

Aunty ann's engagement

Ok the wedding is just round the corner --about 3 weeks times but we just have to have this in this family's blog of ours.The engagement was arranged in less than a month I think but no doubt it was a beautiful kenduri. The ceremony marked as the official start of the new relationship between Aunty Ann and Uncle Sumali and for the family welcoming Uncle Sumali into the family. Like any other engagement we had in the family, we all hope for the best.

Along did not join the party as he was away in Langkawi and Cameron joining a school trip. Everybody was asking for him, and Along said he knew that all along...macam glam sangat lah dia tu! So our Angah was taking the limelight with the girls...finally huh? he..he..

We also didnt bring Aariz with us...as we only made a short trip , just overnight thus tot it is better to spare Aariz from the exhaustion and the chaotic of organising kenduri at one's place.

Karaoke is a must thing in most of our kenduri..started of with the "otai" --

Mummy and Abah had a go as well...erghhhh...not "a" go but actually a few attempts...heeee...cant resist..hopefully people have pleasure listening...if not sorry lah!

Even the future bride and groom had their round of karaoke-ing. They are regular at Red box , i heard...dah practised lah tu :)..I think that is about all...we will meet again with the lot Dec 22nd for the big day!

SKIM's Graduation Day 2012

There is so much delay in my sharing but better late than never, right? This event was held early Nov..should come before the posting on UPSR result. Alhamdulillah that this year we got the chance to join the gradution day since both Angah and Adib managed to place themselves for some prizes.

Angah got the Leadership award--for his role as the School's head boy and also for leading some other co curicullum activities. Before the ceremony started, the  teachers put up slide show of the activities that the school carried out for the whole year..and from there, I realized that our Angah was really active..his face was like everywhere,and being the head boy--he would lead like 90% of the school's activities--we  feel proud of our  Angah...sangat kecil kecil cili api kind of a person...I hope he will continue this positive attitude through out his high school as well..amin.

Apart from the Leadership award there is also Best educations award separately for a boy--Daniel (with the spec)  and a girl, Co Curriculum award-- the last pic at the bottom i.e. Eddie and Sportmanship award--the first--Amir Aliff. I think it is good that the school separate those achievements and have more to go up the stage, rather than have only 1 person conquering all.

Then ...the out of the blue kind of surprise is when Adib got best English prize for standard 2. Memang mummy and abah terkejut beruks. In fact Adib was also suprised himself. He didnt even know when was the exam...punyalah..he is such a baby...I have been asking him when was the final exam right to the day he gave me a slip to inform that he would be getting a prize for best English. I was a bit worried about him because he told me that tehre were other kids who already in Band 5 and 6 and teacher told him that he is only Band3...but I remember the teacher said maximum for standard 2 is Band3--at Band 6 a student should be classified as having good akhlak. I told Adib many times...we call and name him Adib which means "Yang Beradab" for a reason ha..ha..ha..

Adib was all so proud and looked very concious to go up the stage! He walked so fast eventhough I told him to slowly walking and look at the camera..he..he..

 The students staged a few performance which I think were very much more lively and interesting compared to prior years. If I remember correctly, previous years, they use to perform coral speaking and choir and thats about it.

The most memorable of this year's performance is the one performed by the OKU class..I think many actually shed their tears watching and listening to the song they presented.

Here we go again..us after the ceremony..proud of Angah and Adib...and also Along for also made us proud going up the stage for his UPSR result last 3 years....he..he..he..that was the only time erghhhhhhhhhh

Angah got 5As for UPSR

The result is out today and alhamdulillah Angah got his 5As. I always think Angah has done good preparation for his UPSR. He only got 4As for his trial but that result doubled his effort to an extent. We all went to the school at 10am sharp--mummy, abah , along, adib and our dearest aariz--we dragged aariz along eventhough that was his morning nap time :)

 The first teacher we met at the canteen was Cikgu Shahrul and without hesitation he informed us the good news--"aimran ok"...and i had tears in my eyes. We didnt tell Angah but wait for Puan Nyon to make the annoucement.The result for SKIm was not that encouraging--the numbers of 5As students are only 18 and that was the same score as prior year, but overall percentage slightly increase if i heard correctly.

Angah was quite confident taht he would get his 5As from the day the exam ended and we were quite comfortably confident also because we saw his effort and based on his assurance on the exam itself. Because of that, we actually had bought him his G Shock watch last night--I asked abah if we were really buying before the result? Abah said yes...so he has got one of his UPSR presents. So Angah is done...now we patiently wait for PMR result. i am one proud mom today....Congratulations Angah

Adib's birthday Party

It was so unplanned...I thought we want to skipped this year or arranged one after PMR. Adib's and Along's birthday is just one day different, so I thought it just right to do the makan2 and what not after PMR. However, Adib told me " mummy tu lambat sangat tak best lah"..so we had the party organised that weekend after me explained to him that we cant do wednesday, thursday, friday or saturday--told him we need to buys goodies for the party on saturday-i.e.a non working day and he happily agreed.

Then, after agreeing on the day -- I asked him to handle the invitations part--after all it is his birthday and told him to invite whoever he wanted and only tell me the number of friends coming. He came back and told me there will be about 30 friends coming. Frankly we didnt think that many would come but I still prepared the goodies packs accordingly. 30 oklah...I didnt even booked the cake, was assuming that Secret Recipe wont be out of Chocolate Indulgence--Adib's favourite--but unfortunately, they were all sold out ..adoiiii kesian Adib, he then chose New York Cheese kalau tak silap.

And sunday came...at noon, we had lunch with Tok, Aki and all. Then about 2pm, the friends started to arrive...one after another and finally there were like 20+ kids under the roof. Sporting enough to wear the mask!

We had cake, sandwiches, nuggets &  drummets--free flow, pudding and honeydew sweet...nobody wanted to try the mee rebus...salah menu lah :) But I think nobody went home hungry...

It is great fun being a host to the kids. They ate and played and made all sort of noises...really great fun!
The truth is we've have never thought that many would turn up as only handful stayed in the same street. We will make better arrangement next year definitely.

And the end of the day, I asked Adib if the party was ok..." Adib happy tak?"...and he replied "Happy Mummy"...he only got like 2 to 3 birthday presents from the friends, but that didnt bother him..having his friends celebrating his birthday was all that he wanted...
Last but not least...."Happy Birthday Mr Froggy and Along...semoga jadi anak yg baik dan soleh and Mummy loves you both so dearly...with all my heart and more"...
By the way, Adib called me today at lunchtime..telling that he was selected to be the KAFA prefect for next year session....His annoucement was like this "mummy...cikgu tadi tanya Adib awak ada buat salah ya? Adib terus ngaku Adib ada masuk kelas masa rehat - pastu cikgu cakap, sebab guru besar nak cakap tahniah, awak dah terpilih sebagai KETUA PENGAWAS TAHUN DEPAN ehh...salah pengawas bukan ketua pengawas" He actually shouted at that capital letters...ha..ha...I accepted the news with "YEAHHHHHH"...the truth is Bibik has called me earlier to break the news...even Bibik was overly excited ha..ha..ha...so i mocked the terkejut part ...heeee...Congratulations Adib!

SKIM's 2012 Sport Day

This took place last month late Sept. For this year, both the afternoon and morning session joined and had it together at the stadium...better lah if not the afternoon session i.e. standard 1 to 3 had theirs at the school lebih kurang aje. Both Aimran and Adib are in the same RED team...Angah this year was the RED team's captain. We were hoping for him to get back his olahragawan title which he won last 2 years, but from the very start he told us that he cant run as fast now...his close contender Amir Alif for one - is way taller than him now..panjang lah langkah nya...and he said he has not been running for a while because of the UPSR etc etc.OKlah point noted..

Apart of hoping for Angah to reclaim his title..I was so looking forward to see Adib running his 4X80--seriously, we were suprised that he was selected ha..ha..ha...just imagining him running for the selection has made me laugh..Adib pun pelik apa yg funny sangat mummy ni!

So here we go...ready with RED attire..to give full support to the boys

Being the team leader , Angah lead the "perbarisan".

There were only track events for standard 6 to standard 2 and one fun game "berebut syilings" for standard one.

The track event started with standard 6 of course and we were cheering like "angah angah angah" and he suddenly had some muscle strain and that placed him at the last position wahahahaha....adoiii...terbaring sudah!

He missed his second event due to the muscle strain, but still took part in his third event and managed to secure the third place..oklah ada piala he..he..Angah kan, his competition spirit is just too high!

Adib...on the other hand ..being the cool boy..."menang ok tak menang pun tak pe" kind of style...relax relax kehulu ke hilir with some friends..then when he was requested to be ready at certain spot for their event..dah tersengih2..he looked up and waved to us..then they have to queue -- he looked at us and waved again...then they moved to the teachers--he looke dup again and waved again...ha..ha..ha..he is so adorable..kelakar sgt..looking all so proud!!
I was just too excited seeing him running...ha..ha..ha..and the red team won 2nd place yeahhhhhh...bangga sangat mummy dgn Mat Dib...my froggy!

After Adib's event we went to Giant, Starbuck bagai then came back just in time for the final ceremony...the prize giving! It was quite late, nearly maghrib thus some of the prizes were not presented on that day but was given during school assembly. Tak puas hati nya lah Mat Dib.

Red team was the overall champion and they also won the "perbarisan" , so being the captain,

Angah took both the thropies. The kids and also the teachers were all so happy...it was a successful event. Mummy already looking forward for next year's....
